Wet N Wild CoverAll Foundation and Powder!

The other day I picked up a few items I had on my list since I saw that Wet N Wild would be releasing it. Because I love Wet N Wild eye shadow palettes, blushes, lipstick, & polishes I knew I needed to get the new Foundation and Powder to try out.

Wet N Wild COVERALL Foundation:

  • Packaging: I really love that the packaging is a squeeze tube with a good size opening for the product. The packing is sleek and very nice for the price point.
  • Shades: From what I could tell there was about 6 shades in the line. They do not seem to carry darker skin tone shades. I picked up the Shade #816 Fair/Light.
  • Texture: The texture is very nice and glides on rather easily. It is not runny at all. It goes from semi slick to matte rather quickly. Even though it is thicker in texture it is still buildable. Even on my dry skin I was able to layer an additional layer over blemishes.
  • Price Point: $3.99 for 1 Fl Oz I got a dollar off coupon so I only paid $2.99 for it. So great deal for the quality.

Wet N Wild COVERALL Pressed Powder:
  • Packaging: Now I have Blushes and Palettes by Wet N Wild and the top always feels a bit flimsy the top of this feel more sturdy! Upgrade from Wet N Wild. =D
  • Shades: The Shades are like the Foundations 6 or 7 shades. No darker skin tone options in the powders. I picked up #825B Medium. The shades only seem to very slightly down the range. So I could have probably wore the one above this too. So that is nice that either or it would have been relatively easy to find a shade that matches me.
  • Texture: It is very nice. Most powders I tend to like/love have a satin feel to them. This does as well. I could easily use this over a heavier foundation or something as light as a tinted moisturizer and still like the finish.
  • Price Point: $2.99 also got $1.00 off.

Application:

  • I tried applying this with my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush and my fingertips then buffing. My favorite technique for application is my finger tips then buffing. It seems to give the best finish and allows for layering in problematic areas.

COVERALL Claim:
  • I am a stickler for foundation and I am a firm believer in order to have a beautiful painting you need a beautiful clean canvas. That does not look packed with product. Does this CoverAll....No. Does it cover most Yes! If you build it up in the places you need additional coverage. If you have minimal skin issue you will probably love this. I have dry skin, slight hyper pigmentation, freckles, and occasional hormonal breakouts. When my skin is clear I could see me loving this. Even with two slight breakouts right now I really like how it looks. Next time I have a breakout I will probably apply concealer. Even though I am still very impressed by the overall finish and how long I have been wearing it and how nice it still looks.
Repurchase:
  • Foundation: Yes
  • Powder: Yes

L'Oreal Color Lift Blush Vs. Maybelline Dream Bouncy Line!

If you follow me on Instagram you  know I picked up the L'Oreal Visible Lift Color Lift Blush in Rose Gold Lift last week. Now I thought it was a powder blush because on the packaging it does not specify and I had yet to hear about it on any social media. So when I got it home and went to swatch it...well lets say you should have seen my face lol. I was so shocked that it was a cream product. It also reminded me of a few products that had come out earlier in the year. So I figured this review may help anyone who was thinking these products could possibly be similar.

L'Oreal Visible Lift Color Lift Blush in Rose Gold Lift:

The texture and pigmentation of this blush is more pigmented the the regular Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blushes. I know when those came out people ran out to get them...me included. A lot of people where disappointed about one thing, the Pigmentation! Now I got lucky I picked up one and loved it it was not crazy pigmented. But it was way more pigmented then about half the line. The one I own is #60 Coffee Cake. I really do like the shade and recommend it to anyone with a light skin tone like mine.

After trying the Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush. I saw the Maybelline Dream Bouncy Bronzers come out and instantly went out to get one. I picked up Sun Glow.  Now these are firmer in texture and more pigmented then the Dream Bouncy Blushes. They are also firmer then the L'Oreal Blush, but the L'Oreal Blush is super pigmented! Which you can see from the swatches. I actually have to be careful when I use it and make sure I don't get to much product because of how pigmented it is.

Swatches:

(L-R)Loreal Visible Lift Blush in Rose Gold Lift, Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush in Coffee Cake, Maybelline Dream Bouncy Bronzer in Sun Glow

In my opinion I prefer the L'Oreal Visible Lift Color Lift Blushes over the Maybelline Dream Bouncy line. It solved the pigmentation problem Maybelline seems to have had with their Dream Bouncy line. Also the shades that they came out with are gorgeous. The Bronzer is good from the Maybelline line but, I would rather have a great blush and more shades to choose from then a small bronzer line.

Have you guys tried the new L'Oreal Visible Lift Color Lift Blush line?

Wet N Wild Mega Last Lipstick Collection

So today I noticed what a vast amount of Wet N Wild Mega Last Lipsticks I have acquired in the last few months. So I wanted to give you guys my thoughts on them. As well as share swatches for anyone who is looking for a specific color swatched=D

Wet N Wild Mega Last Lipsticks:

In all I have 9 that I have kept out of the ones I have tried. I have tried a few others but gave them away if the shade did not suit my skin tone.

Shades:

  • Cherry Picking 965 (My favorite)
  • Wine Room 906D (Second favorite)
  • Mauve Outta of Here 907C
  • Don't Blink Pink 966 (Fourth Favorite)
  • Sugar Plum Fairy 908C (Fifth Favorite)
  • Just Peachy 903C
  • Cherry Bomb 918D
  • Smokin' Hot Pink 905D (Third favorite)
  • Stoplight Red 911D

Packaging: I am not a fan of the packaging. What I think can be improved is #1 the lipstick should be able to roll all the way down the tube to protect the product from damage when reapplying the lid. #2 I have heard quite frequently to shake the product before you purchase because these are known for coming broken. So it would be nice to not have to do that.

Product: I really love the pigmentation of these. I have NEVER been disappointed by the quality of these ever!

Price: I think these are very fairly priced for the quality and packaging! These retail for $1.99.

Swatches:
(Left - Right) Cherry Picking Wine Room, Mauve Otta Here, Don't Blink Pink, Just Peachy, Sugar Plum Fairy, Cherry Bomb, Stoplight Red

Smokin' Hot Pink (accidently left out of main picture)

So there you have my Wet N Wild Mega Last Lipstick Collection. I really love these and highly recommend them! Especially my personal favorites!=D Let me know your personal favorites in the comment section below. You may give me a few more to add to my collection!

Influenster Holiday Vox Box 2012

A few weeks ago I recieved the Influenster Holiday Vox Box. I have tried out a few of the items. So I thought I would share my thoughts on them and this years box.

Holiday Vox Box Contents:

  • Quaker Real Medleys Oatmeal (Peach Almond)- This was amazing! It had the taste and texture of home cooked oatmeal.
Retail Price: $1.79 per cup
  • NYC Liquid LipShine in Nude York City- I have recieved this in another Vox box and love it. It is not sticky at all. Which is my favorite part. The color is very pretty and can be worn alone or to top off your favorite nude lipstick.
Retail Price: $2.49
  • Kiss Nail Dress- I have tried the Kiss Nail Dress system in the past as well as others. I do love these. Especially for those hectic moments in life when you are just to busy to devote time to your manicure. But do not want to look a mess in public!
Retail Price: $6.99

  • EBoost (Pink Lemonade Flavor) I received the Natural Energy in Pink Lemonade flavor. This is a powder packet you simply mix with water. Now I have never been into the energy shots or stuff like that in general. But I will say I like that this is from Green tea extract, isn't to fake sugar tasting (something I hate), & the taste is good.
Retail Price: $28 for a box of 20, $39 for a box of 30, $39 for a box of 12 shots

  • Goody QuikStyle Brush paddle of half round styler (Half Round)- Now when I first saw this brush I thought oh man another gimmicky brush that won't work. Even my husband was intrigued for me to try it out. But, it is safe to say I am a fan. It did significantly cut down my blow drying time. Usually I thin out my hair with a razor. But in the last year I have only done it once. So this brush with my hair was put to the test. It worked wonderfully and I now use it daily!
Retail Price: $11.99

  • Sole Society $25 off your first pair of shoes voucher- I have yet to use this but have heard great things about Sole Society.

  • Montagne Jeunesse Face Mask (Crushed Raspberry) Fruit Smoothie Deep Pore Cleansing Masque- Now I have reviewed a few masks by this company and you guys know I am a fan. So when I saw that there was one included in this Vox Box I was very excited. Best part it was one I have not tried yet!
Retail Price: Under $2.00

I really enjoyed this years Holiday Vox Box. If you guys do not know what Influenster is check them out. If you love trying products and doing reviews. This company is a great company to be affiliate with. I have found a number of products I love from these boxes.

Products were provided to me via Influenster for consideration for review.

LORAC Pro Palette!

If you follow me on my YouTube Channel you guys saw that I hosted a give away with one of the prizes being a LORAC Pro Palette. So I never mentioned having it because the options had to be a surprise. I originally got my hands on it right after it was released=D  But, now I can share with you my favorite palette of the year! If you guys do not own this you are missing out. It is a must have for me.

LORAC PRO PALETTE:

Packaging: Very nice and sturdy. My favorite part is how thin it is! For as much as it contains it does not feel bulky. It can get dirty because of the soft rubbery exterior of the packaging. But, can easily be cleaned with a makeup wipe.

Price: I think for the quality of the shadows and primer. As well as the shades and finish ranges this palette is 100% fairly priced. I have paid more for more extravagant palettes and was nowhere as satisfied with the end results or overall quality of those palettes.

Texture & Quality: The shadows are smooth as silk and easily blendable. You can do an entire eye look and not need to reach for another palette to complete the look. Everything you could want is in this palette. This palette contains 8 Matte & 8 Satin/Shimmer shades. Thank you LORAC for knowing that make up lovers DO indeed love Matte shades. It is a pet peeve of mine when companies fill a whole palette with nothing but shimmer shades.

                                                                 SWATCHES:

                      Matte Row: White,Cream,Taupe,Lt. Pink,Mauve,Sable,Espresso,Black
                   Shimmer/ Satin Row:Nude,Champagne,Gold,Lt.Bronze,Pewter,Garnet,Deep Purple,Slate

Would I repurchase of gift? YES!

This palette is a must have. It is great for travel and doesn't leave you wishing you had packed other shadows! You can do such a wide variety of looks day or night! This palette truly does not disappoint.
