Review: John Frieda Precision Foam Hair Colour!

Today I want to review a product that I got and tried for Free Thanks to Rite Aid! =) The item I will be reviewing is the John Frieda Precision Foam Hair Colour in 4BG Brilliant Brunette Dark Chocolate
I typically do not use boxed hair dye for one the developer is not always good for each hair type (standard developer in each box). If you have been to beauty school like me then you know the best developer to use is the lowest one (I use a 10 and sometimes even 5) you can get your hands on so that it deposits color and does not lift. You also know about the undertones of color like on the color wheel I love using green based colors to cancel out my Red undertones to my hair and over the counter box colorings just do not do that for my hair. Also if you have any blonde in your hair and are going to go back darker (big during this time of year) you must always use a filler. If you do not you will end up redying your hair because your highlights/lowlights will not grab the color as well as the rest of you hair. Also there are different types of hair color Semi-Perm, Demi-Perm,Perm. So it is important to pay attention to your coloring options. There is also application which is a whole nother story Lol (can you tell I love hair coloring, it was and still is my favorite thing I learned and got noticed for in Beauty School! lol) I can spot a streak/mistake from a mile away. But that is just some information to help you guys out especially when doing it on your own at home. So many people tend to make mistakes and then end up having to have some like me fix it. Okay So on to my Review.

Thoughts:

*I do think this is better then your standard boxed hair dye in application. Because the foam actually saturates the hair better and allows for less "patches". I hate using the typical bottle application that comes with a boxed hair dye I prefer to do it all with a brush to make sure every strand is saturated.
*When I first saw the amount of product I was like no way is this going to do my whole head. Well it did! And then some.
* Color wise I still wasn't happy Lol it is still the problem of not being able to control the undertones of red in my hair. So of course I picked up my RedKen Shades EQ to redye my hair. Lol
*Price wise this is quite pricey for a drug store hair dye. It retails for $13.98. I am glad I got to try it out for free or I would have never tried it out.
*Made my hair feel a bit dry. I always dye my hair after a day or two of not washing. I got this tip from a RedKen class I attended at the Icee Show in Vegas. Now you don't want your hair dirty with hair spray, gel, etc. Just your natural oils as it helps not strip your hair so much. This one I feel ate at my hair. Then again I have not dyed my hair for almost a year and a half so my hair was so so soft. So it could just be my healthy shine leaving my hair LOL
*The conditoner that came with it was very nice and had a very nice smell.

OVERALL:

*I would not repurchase this again strickly for the fact that I do know about undertones and hate when my hair turns red as well as for the price. To pay that much for a boxed hair color it better come out looking fabulous! LOL Which in my case I see Red and I hate it =/
So I hope this helped you guys out the next time you go to pick up your next hair dye!!

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 hr Eyeshadows!

So I wanted to share with all my readers two of the new Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 hr Eyeshadows that I picked up. When I saw that these were coming out I could not wait to try them out because they do look so similar to MAC paint pots. I love MAC paint pots but for some people they find them a bit pricey. So what could be better then possibly finding an alternative option=D! I actually bought Nubile Paint Pot the same day I picked up the first one I tried.

                                                               #25 Bad to the Bronze

Bad to the Bronze is a gorgeous shimmery bronze color. The texture is very creamy and smooth. It actually has really nice staying power I used it as a base with my eye look today and so far so good. I will make sure to do a full review on these soon. I want to wear them longer and when I am out running around more just to see how well and long they hold up for.

#35 Tough as Taupe

This is such a gorgeous shade I love that it is a Taupe color because before this I did not own a cream shadow this color at all. I am so glad to have it. I looked for it the first time when I picked up Bad to the Bronze but this color was sold out. But, now I know why=)

PRICE:

These retail at CVS for $6.99 but right now they are having a Buy One Get One 1/2 Sale. Then at Walgreen's they are $6.99 but they currently are not BOGO 1/2 Off at the moment.

Favorite Nude Lippies!!

I have always been on the hunt for the Perfect Nude for My Skin tone I am quite pale and a lot of Nudes tend to wash me out. Well in my infinite search I found some nudes I really love. They range from a very muted Nude to Pinky Nudes. So I figured I would gather the ones out of my collection that I love and share them with you all.

Favorites: Nude Lippies
These are in no order. But at the end I will include my faves in order.

First Swatch Picture: L-R

*Revlon Icy Nude- This does have glitter in it. But on me it doesn't seem to transfer or feel gritty.
*Neutrogena Just Whisper-This is a very nice nude for my complexion. It has a slight pink undertone there for it is not to much.
*Mac Sheen Supreme Lip Stick in Bare Again- A darker Nude but very pretty.
*L'Oreal Project Runway Sultry Raves Pout-One of my favorite lip sticks it is more or a pinky nude on me but this would be a great straight nude for people with a darker skin tone then I.
*Essence Creamy Nude- I got this at ULTA and have been loving it. It is a darker toned golden nude.
*YSL Rouge Volupte #2 Sensual Silk- This looks pinky nude in the tube but it mutes out almost all pigmentation on my lips. But is still very pretty.

Second Picture of Swatches: (L-R)

*Revlon Color Burst Lip Gloss in Eggnog- My favorite Nude lip gloss. This looks amazing alone or layered. I have a few more nude toned glosses but I love the color, texture and finish of this the best.
*MAC Creme Sheen Lipstick in Creme Cup- This is my most Pinky Nude shade but is one of my faves!! A must have in my mind.
*NYX Round Lip Stick in Summer Love- This is my favorite Nude from NYX because it is more Golden/Pinky compared to another one I have. It does not wash me out but is almost there lol
*NYX Round Lip Stick in Circe-This is my most muted nude. I always layer it with something because it can be a bit to much. But if you have a darker complexion then I do this would be a great color for you to check out.
*Revlon Color Burst Lip Butter in Creme Brulee- I have loved this since I picked it up. It is a great Sheer/Shimmery Nude. I love it!
*Clinique Chubby Stick in Whole Lotta Honey-This is a lip color balm and I love it! It is Sheer yet buildable and very moisturizing.

Third Swatch Picture:

*NARS Sheer Lipstick in Cruising-I am loving this texture, color and finish of this lippie. I have had it with me no matter where I go since I picked it up. P.S. it is only pictured alone because I forgot it was in my purse when I did all my swatches Lol

Final Picture:Favorites Nude Lippies in Order

What To Do With Old Packaging?!

Today I was reorganizing my makeup station/desk and I always keep my most use makeup items on it. Everything is pretty much organized. But I tend to accumulate stuff like new polishes that I want to remember to use and if I put them in my rack I know I will forget to use them since I buy so many. I also always keep my most used Primers, Tinted Moisturizers, Foundtions etc. easily accessible. Well I decided I needed to keep them more confined lol they were starting to take up to much room....well for me anyways. So I decided to go through my cabinet where I keep old packaging and boxes I have gotten that I could use again. I took out one of my Sephora V.I.B Hat boxes we got not to long ago and instantly knew I could use it!! So this is what I did.

Sephora Hat Box
Top:
*I simply turned it upside down and it is deep enough to place all my face products I use daily in it!! Altogether I fit in:
-Make Up Forever HD Primer
-Skin79 BB Cream
-CHANEL Vitalumiere Aqua
-Neutrogena Healthy Skin
-Revlon Beyond Natural Smoothing Primer
-Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer & Illuminating Tinted Moisturzer
-Laura Mercier Primer
-Revlon Color Stay Mineral Mousse(trying out)
-Philosophy Miracle Worker
-Tarte Smooth Operator Illuminating Serum
-Revlon Age Defying Face Illminator (trying out)
-Benefit Total Moisture Face Cream
-Benefit Triple Performing Facial Emulsion
-Benefit Stay Don't Stray Mini Primer (it's so small it always gets stuck in my little cup organizers. But it fits in here perfectly)

Bottom:

-Nail Polishes I haven't worn yet & my most used base and top coats.
-I just took the ribbion and wrapped it and tied it around the base. You can secure it with hot glue or double sided tape.
So there you have it. When I see packaging that I know I will eventually get some use out of. I never toss it. I acutally have two of these Hat boxes so when I need more room I will use another one. I like that it keeps all the items secure and together!=D

Urban Decay NAKED 2 Palette!

I was so excited this morning because my NAKED 2 Palette came in!!!! Woo Hoo!!! I instantly wanted to post it...but then realized my hubby took my camera to work! Boo! LOL But he finally got home so I can now share it with you guys my awesome new palette!

Urban Decay NAKED 2 Palette:

*First off the packaging is GORGEOUS! Embossed letters, sturdy, and sleek!!!
*Eyeshadows:
-Foxy
-Half Baked
-BootyCall
-Chopper
-Tease
-SnakeBite
-Suspect
-Pistol
-Verve
-YDK
-Busted
-BlackOut

Okay so I know people think that the Original NAKED palette and NAKED 2 are very similar but they are not. The camera can not pick up the slight variation of colors. For Example Virgin & BootyCall have different undertones in the finishes. Which I do notice the color difference and think those variations would compliment different looks better then the other. I honestly don't there are colors that are too similar either. In the Original Palette the two colors I never used were Creep and GunMetal. I am really glad they went with a Matte Black and I will tell you why. When I do a neutral look either on me or someone else. I do not always want to use a Gel, or Liquid liner sometimes I simply push and smudge out a black shadow into the lash line both to thicken up the base of the lashes and add depth or to just give it that bit of smokeyness to the outer lash line. For this reason I love that they stuck with a Matte Black. It is perfect for the color selection in this palette.

There are some really stand out colors in my opinion:

-Tease- A great Matte Taupe brown with Purple undertones!! You could use this as a crease color on light make up days, or as a blending out color on a smokey eye.

-Pistol-This is a gorgeous Taupey Grey color!! So gorgeous, I really own nothing quite like it!!

-Verve- A great Champagne color. It is very neutral toned. I can not wait to try this out on my inner corner or my center lid.

-Busted- I love that this is easily darker then Hustle. Hustle I did like but found it more purple toned compared to Busted.
I honestly like Busted way better.

-BlackOut- MATTE Black and a deep one at that. I am in love I am going to compare it to other blacks because it just looks so dark. But I love how dark it is!!

*Dual Ended Brush Crease & Shadow Brush:
Now I can say I probably wont use this brush. I have yet to try it out. But the fact that it is synthetic means it is usually great with cream products. I rarely use syntheic brushes for anything else. I do want to give the Crease brush a go just to see if it has potential.

*Lip Junkie Lip Gloss in NAKED- I like the color selection the picked and it is super cute for your bag.

*24/7 Glide On Pencil in ElDorado: Gorgeous Gold!!! I can't wait to try this out.

So there you have my Urban Decay NAKED 2 Palette Haul I hope you guys enjoyed my intial thoughts. Let me know if you ordered the new NAKED 2 Palette and if you are or are not going to be ordering it.

Review: Loreal Voluminous False Fiber Lashes * Faux Cils!

I received this mascara for Free from Loreal's Face Book page. I won on the first try! I honestly think that was the first time I ever won anything off of FaceBook Ever LOL. So here are my thoughts on this mascara=)

Loreal Voluminous False Fiber Lashes Faux Cils:

Formulation:

I am very picky about mascara formulations I do usually gravitate toward the wetter mascaras. This mascara has a drier formulation. I do like the way the first coat applies but by the time you get to the second it is already pretty set and then clumps can happen. So if you have lashes that can work with one coat this is a great mascara for you. I did like how one coat looked on me for like a more "daily" mascara nothing to heavy.

Wand:

Is actually very nice it is a tapered brush (one of my favorite) it grips your lashes very well and is super easy to work with.

Length & Volume:

I do for sure notice length, and if you are like me that is awesome. My lashes are very short and light.  So this passed for length.
As far as volume you can see that more on the second coat but like I said their will be clumps. Which is not a good thing in my book.

Packaging:

Okay even though I like the color of the tube. There are a few things I do not like. 1. It has pointy edges that you can physically stab yourself with. 2. It is a pain to photograph with a flash Lol But I do like the gold color of the tube. I just wish they went a different way with the tube itself.
All in all I do like this mascara for the natural day to day look. But for night time and moments when I need heavier mascara I will reach for one of my mascaras that are a wetter consistency!

*I received this item for free my thoughts and opinions are my own.

Josie Maran Argan Color Stick!

I picked up this Josie Maran Argan Color Stick on Black Friday and have been loving it ever since. The color I have is Petal Pink, This stick like other Josie Maran products I love, its so soft and is not drying to your skin at all because of the Argan oil it contains. The stick looks bright when you see it but as you can tell from my swatch it goes on quite sheer and is buildable!

It blends beautifully on to your cheeks. It does have a bit of shimmer but nothing to over powering. The best thing about this product it is a Multi-Tasking Balm that can be used on your lips, cheeks, eyes anywhere your heart desires.. I love the packaging just like I do with all of her products. A gorgeous rose gold tube. When I see packaging like that I automatically know it's Josie Maran!! If you haven't checked this great product out please do so. I can save you a few steps in your daily make up routine!

On Black Friday I got this at Sephora for $10.00 I know that was the price at Sephora.
