August GlossyBox!

I am so excited because my first ever Glossy Box arrived! I have seen the box for a long time from UK bloggers and Youtubers and am so happy that they brought it to us in the United States!!

August Glossy Box

Pure Luxury:

  • Biolage Exquisite Oil Replenishing Treatment- I have used this treatment oil twice and it is nice and light. So far I am really enjoying it.
          Full Size $22.00
  • Ellis Faas (Creamy Lips)L105- This shade is super dark but I think I still may be able to pull it off. I love the packaging. I do wish they would have sent out a more wearable shade though. It maybe nice for Fall though. I also love that this was a Full size item.
          Full Size $35.00

  • Illamasqua Nail Varnish in Purity- This is an amazing shade! I am wearing it now and it just beautiful. It is a cream finish, peach shade. This also is a Full size product!!
          Full Size $14.00

  • Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster- I have been applying this day and night. Like it suggests since it arrived. I am going to give it about a week before I give my final verdict on it=). This is a 0.5 fl oz bottle which is half of the full size product! So I will get plenty of uses. It also smells like oranges which is nice. But it is not at all over powering. After you apply it the scent dissipates.
          Full Size $48.00

  • Touch In Sol Feel like Honey Moon Skin Base- I used this primer for the first time. I really like it texture wise. It felt very slick the first time I swatched it. But applied to the face it is a very nice texture that blends very nicely into the skin. Now I do have dry skin. I have no clue how this would perform on oily skin. This is a 1.06 fl oz bottle the full size is 1.13oz. So this is almost a full size product!
          Full Size $20.00

  • Glossy Mag NEON issue- This is a nice magazine with current makeup trends and items to achieve those looks.

I think it is safe to say I will be keeping this subscription box. Two full size products and, one that was almost full size, & a half size product! That is a great box! If you haven't check it out you should!

Weekly Drug Store Haul + ShopLately!!

This week I got a couple of nice thing from the drugstore. I am always on the hunt for new products to try out and add to my collection;)

*Wet N Wild Nail Polish in I Need A Refresh-Mint: I have been loving this polish since I picked it up. The last few days I just keep taking it off and putting on a fresh coat. I just love the shade. I am hard on my nails so it chipped within two days. But I do workout 6-7 days a week & am generally very rough on my hands. But, I took it off and reappied it because I loved it that much!

*Dove Refresh+Care Invigorating Dry Shampoo: I have heard that this was supposed to be a great dry shampoo via blogs and youtube. Now my first impression is that it smells nice. But lacks a bit of volume which I get 100% from my Not Your Mothers Dry Shampoo. Although, I am not to found of that ones scent.

*Dove Clear Tone Deodorant: Now I love the Clinical Strength Clear Tone from Dove. But, I think they quite making it in that formulation because I can't find it anymore. So as long as this one does the same. It will be just fine.

*Studio 35 Beauty Strengthening Nail Polish Remover: This is just a repurchase. I tend to always buy the Strengthening nail polish removers since my nails are so thin. I am not sure if it helps since I never pay attention lol.

*Organic Cotton Rounds: I needed more. Simply a repurchase. I don't like using cotton balls. I only buy cotton rounds since they are just easier to use.

Rite Aid:

*Garnier Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel-Cream for Dry Skin: I think it is safe to say I found my favorite Garnier product. I love how amazing this feels on my skin. It also did not break me out like my last Garnier lotion did. This feels like it keeps my skin moisturized longer then my standard lotion. I would really recommend this for beauties who like myself have dry skin.

*Garnier The Refreshing Remover Cleansing Towelettes: Since Garnier was BOGO 1/2 off I couldn't pass these up. I had just ran out of my ELF wipes and decided...why not?! lol So far I like them. I don't know if I love them. I have only used a few so far. I will get back to you guys to let you know if I will be repurchasing them.

*Cover Girl Lash Blast Volume in Black: I have used the water proof in the regular Lash Blast YEARS ago and remember liking the volume it gave me. I got this to pair with my L'Oreal Telescopic Clean Definition Mascara as it performs beautifully for length and definition, but lacks a bit of volume. So far I am liking the pairing.

*Revlon Color Stay Foundation for Normal/Dry Skin in Natural Beige: I wanted to give this a try after seeing Tanya Burr (Pixi2Woo) on YT do her top 5 drug store foundation and recommended this as a full coverage foundation for dry skin. I had a bad break out and this worked so wonderfully at covering my imperfections without me having to apply concealer.

*Revlon Color Stay Pressed Powder in Light: Revlon was also having a BOGO 1/2 off at Rite aid so I wanted to get this to try out with the foundation. Right off after one application. I will not wear the powder with the foundation again. It was to much, and I looked dry and cakey. I will however try it with a tinted moisturizer as I feel it may give me a bit of coverage that I could still need with a tinted moisturizer.

That was all the Drug Store items I hauled this week. I have a few orders coming in this week so I will do a video when I get them all in.

I also ordered my first item from Shoplately a few weeks ago and thought I would show you guys. I am now addicted to that site. Thanks to MissZBeauty0412 on Youtube. =D

*Rose Gold Side Stretch Cross Bracelet from Glint&Gleam: I have worn this bracelet non stop since it arrived last week. It came packaged so nicely in a sturdy box and black velvet type bag. I have two more orders coming. They send you sales everyday from the site and you can't help but make a purchase! Cutest stuff! ShopLately is not a subscription service of anything like that. So it is a great site when you have a piece in mind that you may not be able to find somewhere else. I had been looking for a bracelet like this in rose gold... forever and not one store had them. They also have it in two other colors as well as matching necklaces.

So there is my first ever ShopLately haul. I hope you all check out the site and let me know if you pick up any pieces=D I love to see everyone's picks because it may help try new piece I may have never thought of trying.

Also, when I hit 50 Subbies on my Youtube Channel I will be having a giveaway. I already ordered a few goodies for it! So check out my channel HERE for a chance to win some great goodies when I hit the big 5-0!

Wrap Up: Nails Of The Week

This weeks I believe I did my nails a little less then I did last week. But, I really did love two of my designs in particular. Sadly, I also chipped two nails this week on my left hand which made me less inclined to do my nails. As I feel it looks less eye catching since I have tiny nails to begin with. I really need a good nail strengthener.

August 9th:

  • Base Color- Essie's Yogaga- Easily becoming one of my all time favorites=D
  • Accent Nails- Splattered Model's Own Jade Stone & Sinful Colors Star Fish
  • Base & Top Coat- Sally Hansen Hard As Nails (Hardener)

August 11th (Hindi Tattoo Inspired Nails):

  • Base Color- JulieG Fierce & Fab
  • Accent Nails- JulieG Bikini
  • Base & Top Coat- Sally Hansen Hard As Nails (Hardener)
This was easily my favorite design for the week. I just woke up that morning and wanted to do a Hindi Tattoo look! Loved the way it turned out.

August 13th:

  • Base Color- Sinful Colors Timbleberry
  • Accent Nails- Kiss White Stripper & Gunmetal Stripper
  • Base & Top Coat- Sally Hansen Hard As Nails (Hardener)
August 15th:

  • Base Color-Wet N Wild Mega last Salon Nail Color in I need a Refresh-Mint
  • Base & Top Coat- Sally Hansen Hard As Nails (Hardener)

So all in all I have a pretty okay nail week. Aside from the breaking nails part! lol Luckily they are growing back pretty fast. If you guys know of a amazing nail hardener let me know below. Because, the Sally Hansen one is okay. I need something a bit stronger.

7 Deadly Sins of Beauty Tag!

I finally did my first ever Youtube Tag video. I have been watching tag videos for years and loved them! So when I saw everyone doing the 7 Deadly Sins of Beauty Tag I knew I had to do it.

7 Deadly Sins of Beauty Tag:

1. GREED: What is your most inexpensive beauty item? What is your most expensive?

2. WRATH: What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with?

3. GLUTTONY: What are your most delicious beauty products?

4. SLOTH: What beauty product do you neglect, due to laziness?

5. PRIDE: What beauty product gives you the most self confidence?

6. LUST: What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?

7. ENVY: What items would you most like to receive as a gift?

  • Most Inexpensive-ELF Tone Correcting Concealer. I got it for only $.50 and you can't beat that and it is pretty good for undereye circles if your on a budget.
  • Most Expensive- NARS Danmari Blush Palette- I love this palette. I use 4 of the blushs all the time. Sin of course being my favorite.
  • Love/Hate Relationship- GEL LINERS! lol I have hooded lids. With gel liners they tend to skip when I apply them. No matter what brush I use.So it takes a bit more coaxing for me to get it the way I like. I will never stop using them though they just give such a dramatic effect.
  • Most Delicious- MAC Lipsticks I just love the slight Vanilla scent that they have. You could blind fold me with a pile of lipsticks and could find the MAC lipstick in the bunch just by the scent!

  • Beauty Product I neglect due to laziness- Eye Brow Pencil I have pretty nice brows naturally so I could actually go without filling them in. So I do on days I just don't want to mess with them.

  • Most Self Confidence-Foundation (CHANEL VITALUMIERE AQUA) I have always said you have to have a flawless canvas to create a masterpiece. Foundation has always been one of my obsessions. I love looking flawless, but at the same time looking like myself. I have never been a fan of a thick foundation. I love that the CVLA covers all my imperfections but still lets me look like me.
6. LUST:

  • Attractive Attribute in the Opposite Sex: TEETH! LOL yes I have always noticed someones teeth before say I notice their muscles lol I love when people actually have a sense of humor. Because, lets face it I will never be 100% boring or serious. I love smiles because you can tell a lot about someone by the way they laugh, smile & interact with people.
7. ENVY:

  • Like to Recieve as Gifts: Perfumes=D I am a perfume addict! I love being able to express myself and how I am feeling by the scent I spray on myself. I believe scents are a lot like music. All the notice in a fragrance can say more then I could at times.

I loved doing this tag. If you guys want me to do anymore leave me any suggestions for which ones you want me to do next either down below or on my Youtube channel under the videos comment section=D

FOTD: Arabic Inspired Eye Makeup!

I mentioned the other day when I did my Peacock Inspired Eye Make up that I had come up with a few more eye tutorials to post on my Youtube Page. I tried out one more of my looks yesterday and just loved it! I got literally compliments at every place I visited yesterday! So I thought I would share it with you all. Keep an eye out for the tutorial to come on my Youtube Channel.

FOTD: Arab Inspired Eye Makeup Tutorial:

*Too Faced Shadow Insurance- Placed this all over my lid & under my lower lash line.
*MAC Painterly Paint Pot- I added this to my lid to make any shadows I used over it more vibrant.
*I filled in my brows with Maybelline Define a brow in dark blonde! (amazing pencil!)
*The Balm Nude'tude Palette Snobby Eyeshadow- I placed this on my inner corner and into the center of my lid.
*Too Faced Copper Penny Eyeshadow- I placed this on to the center of my lid into my outter V slightly as a transition shade to my Outter V shade.

*Too Faced Lovey Dovey Eyeshadow- I used a sigma E65 to create the sharp wing and the filled it in and blended it out with a MAC 217 brush.
*MAC Phloof! Eyeshadow- I placed this in my inner corner and under the brow bone.
*L'Oreal Infallible Lacquer Liner 24 Hr in Blackest Black- I lined my lash line, tight lined, and lined my water line with this. I does not move!
*The Balm Nude'tude Palette Eyeshadow in Serious- I smudged this with a Sigma E20 under my lower lash line.
*I applied L'Oreal Telescopic Clean Definition mascara in black 1 coat.
*Then added a pair of Red Cherry #46 Lashes with my Duo adhesive.

On the Rest of My Face:

*Clinique Line Smoothing Concealer (under eyes only)
*Sonia Kashuk Hidden Agenda Concealer Palette (blemishes)

Collection: B.B. Creams!

I will say B.B. Creams are some of my favorite bases to wear. I use them quite frequently. The majority of the time I may even choose to wear these instead of a Foundation or Tinted Moisturizer. I especially love them when my skin is having a "moment" lol. I wanted to make this post after strictly using Asian Based B.B. Creams. Then I tried some of the Western B.B. Creams and figured it was a good time to give you guys my thoughts on the two.

First set (L-R) Loreal Paris B.B. Cream, Missha Perfect Cover B.B. Cream No.23, Dr. Jart Water Fuse Beauty Balm, Skin79 Triple Functions B.B. Cream.

Second Set (L-R): Skin79 VIP Gold Collection B.B. Cream, Skin79 Diamond Collection B.B. Cream, Missha Signature Real Complete B.B. Cream No.21

Collection: B.B. Creams:

*Skin79 Triple Functions B.B. Cream: Skin 79 makes one of the best B.B. Creams I have ever tried. It has such great coverage. I honestly swear by B.B. Creams when my skin is breaking out. It literally helps heal my skin! I also love the Whitening factor. It has made my skin more even. This one is supposed to be made for Oily skin. But, I have dry skin and it works beautifully on my skin.

*Lioele Triple the Solutions: It is not pictured here because I have none left but this is my all time favorite B.B. Cream. Just because the shade is perfect for my skin and I rarely wear concealer with it.

*Missha Perfect Cover B.B. Cream No.23: I just love this B.B. Cream not only because of the finish & coverage. But, also because the shade match is dead on for my skin tone!

*Skin79 VIP Gold Collection B.B. Cream: Now this one is for dry skin and works nicely but I still prefer the (hot pink) triple functions B.B. Cream to this one. Still has great coverage.

*Missha Signature Real Complete B.B. Cream No.21: Now currently I am to dark for this one (Shade 23) but this will be perfect for Winter!! Again I love Missha B.B. Creams (Thanks to Gloria!)

*Skin79 The Diamond Collection: This was my least favorite out of the Skin79 line. It was mainly just the finish and shade. It was a bit to matte for my liking and was way to light for my skin tone.

*Dr. Jart Water Fuse Beauty Balm: Now I will just get this out of the way Western B.B. creams are nothing like the Asian brand B.B. Creams they are really glorified Tinted Moisturizers. In my opinion Asian B.B. Creams are less then a foundation (depending on your complexion and skin issues) and way better then a Tinted moisturizer. This one for the price tag is nothing! It is less then a tinted moisturizer in my opinion. Totally not worth the price tag. You can even see how sheer it is in my swatches as it sits next to a Skin79 B.B. Cream. I had 2 deluxe sample from Birchbox and simply depotted them to try out.

*L'Oreal Paris Magic Skin Beautifier (Beautifying Beads) B.B. Cream in Light: Now I will say I do like this one. But it does remind me more of a self adjusting LIGHT foundation instead of a actual B.B. Cream. You will need concealer if you have any discoloration, blemishes, etc. It is Okay, but won't be replacing any of my actual B.B. Creams.

I will say hands down Asian brands are the masters when it comes to B.B. Creams. They have it down to a science. If you guys don't know where to get them. Try that is wear I get the majority of mine. They also always have amazing coupons and sales (the Skin79 triple functions is currently on sale) shipping is super fast and they even sell deluxe sample kits so you can find your favorite.

Have you ever tried B.B. Creams?
If so which are your favorite?

Peacock Inspired Makeup

Today I woke up in a very creative mood. I started my day off playing with make up for about 20 minutes. Because, I had a ton of ideas for eye make up tutorials. Having hooded eyes (no crease) can make coming up with flattering eye makeup a challenge. I have done tons of my friends make up and they are so easy compared to me. Simply, because of my lack of crease lol. Out of all of the ideas I came up with this morning I choose to do the second idea first.  Because it is outside the box for me! I am a neutral queen but I did love that this look suited my eye shape and would still be something I would wear on a night out. You could even go sans, black & green liner, & false lashes and wear it during the day.

Peacock Inspired Make Up Tutorial:

  • First I applied Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Flax
  • Next I applied MAC Paint Pot in Nubile to the lid only
  • I filled in my brows with Maybelline Define a Brow in Dark Blonde
  • Then I applied MAC Phloof! on my lid only, not going above where my crease would naturally be.
  • Then I applied NARS Soft Touch Shadow Pencil in Tall Tale as my base on the outer 1/3 of my eye.
  • I topped that with the bright matte purple shade in the Wet N Wild Lust Palette
  • I then added a bit of Too Faced Party Girl Eye Shadow on top of that and blended any harsh edges.

  • Then in the Outer V I appled Label Whore eye shadow from Too Faced (it has a beautiful duo chromed finish) I blended this out as well. Making sure that it graduatd outward.
  • I then added a bit of Inglot Pearl 414 to amp up the effect of the green in Label Whore (it is a duo chrome, that looks brown/green depending on which way the light hits it.)
  • Then I added Inglot AMC Shine 30 to my brow bone and inner corner
  • I lined my lash line with Lorac Front of the Line Pro in Black (my favorite liner)
  • I then lined my water line with Jordana Easy Liner in Sea Green and set it with Inglot Pearl 414.
  • I applied Loreal Telescopic Clean Definition Mascara in Black.
  • Then added #42 Red Cherry Lashes with my Duo adhesive.

The Duo Chromed effect is more how it looks
in person. The brown to green transitions are

On the rest of my face:

  • Concealer- Clinique Line Smoothing Concealer (under eyes only)
  • Neutrogena Healthy Skin
  • Sleek Contour Kit (contour shade only)
  • Too Faced Blush in Cocoa Rose
  • Josie Maran Bronzing Powder in Posey (highlight)
  • MAC Modesty Lip Stick and topped that with Rimmel Stay Glossy Lip Gloss in Non Stop Glamour

I love how it turned out and the fact that depending on which way you are looking this eye look shifts from brown to green and then purple! Beautiful and majestic like a gorgeous peacock!

  • I will be doing a tutorial of this on my Youtube Channel ShadesOfSteph very shortly! Keep and eye out for it! Let me know if you guys recreate it=D

Wrap Up: Nails Of The Week!

This past week I have changed my nail polish quite often and I figured this would be easier then making a post for every single look I did. Plus, I kind of like the idea of a "weekly" nail post. That would probably suite me better since sometimes I do my nails a lot and sometimes I don't lol.

July 31st:

Base: Lavender by Sinful Colors
Dots on accent nails: Essie Borrowed & Blue, Models Own Nude Beige, & Models Own Beth's Blue
Such an easy look to achieve and I love the close but contrasting shades.

August 2nd:

Base: Revlon Sneak Peek & base for accent nails was just the Silver Kiss nail stripper.
Dots: Revlon Sneak Peek.
Super easy but loved the color...which also happen to be my high school colors!

August 3rd:

Base: Revlon Carbonite
Accent Nails: Essie Yogaga (base), Marbled (not water) Essie Armed & Ready, Revlon Creme Brulee, & Essie Shine of the Times.

This was my favorite look out of the week. I loved that it was more Fall inspired. Which is exactly how I have been feeling.

August 6th

Base: Models Own Lemon Meringue my all time favorite yellow...well only favorite! lol

Accent Nails: Sinful Colors Lavender & Models Own Lemon Meringue. I call it my Gemini Mani since I like to do this when I can't make up my mind (total gemini in me) which polish I want LOL

August 7th:

Shade: Revlon Color stay Longwear Nail Enamel in Spanish Moss!
This is one of my favorite shades. I wear this often when I just want my mani to be simple yet pretty.
I will say I loved my nails this week. I am hoping I come up with some good ones from this point on until next week...we shall see. Stay tuned!

What was your favorite mani you did this week?

July Favorites & My First YouTube Video!

July was a pretty great month for me as far as finding products at the drug store. A lot of them actually made it into my favorites as well!=D

July Favorites:

  • Loreal Paris True match Lumi Healthy Luminous Makeup in C3 Creamy Natural- This foundation leave such a beautiful glow to your skin. It is not cakey or heavy. I would say this is a Medium coverage foundation. The packaging is perfection. Other cosmetic companies please take notice of the pump! It despenses just enough product and the pump works everytime!
  • Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs, & Rosewater-This spray has easily become a favorite. If you guys didn't know rose water is so nice for your skin. But the fact that Mario Badescu added Aloe and other herbs just bummped it up another notch. I use this everyday!Even when I wear ZERO makeup!

  • The Balm NudeTude Palette- I was so excited when I finally got this off Hautelook. I didn't know it was on sale and stumbled upon the sale. SO GLAD! I have been using it everyday. Best part it was only $18.50.

  • Revlon Carbonite Nail Polish- This polish has been seriously on my nails at least once a week. I just love the color and it makes my nails appear longer. Which lets face it I love because I was born with tiny claws!
  • Essie Yogaga nail lacquer- A must have nail color for anyone who is as pale as me! I actually perfer this to a nude against my skintone. Taupe loves me apparantly! lol So if you find it difficult to find that perfect nude for your skin then you should really check this out!

  • Clinique Line Smoothing Concealer in Moderately Fair- I got this after seeing used by Sam & Nick on Pixiwoo. My undereye circles Thank you ladies! It brightens and covers and the texture is just perfect. Even for my dry skin.
  • MAC Painterly Paint Pot- I use this basically every day to mute out my lids, and pop my center lid color. Since I have hooded eye this really help with making the center of my lids lighter there for my eye appears more open and less "hood" LOL

  • Loreal Infallible Lacquer Liner 24Hr in Blackest Black-This gel liner is beyond creamy and very black. I don't know about the 24 hour claim as I would never wear my gel liner for 24 hours. But the 8 hours I did have it on it worked wonderfully.

  • Essence Lipstick in Creamy Nude- This a brilliant nude shade. Being so pale it can be tedious to find nudes that don't wash me out. This lipstick is the perfect nude for my skin type. I love the finish. I don't even need a lipgloss when I wear it! Best part it is only $2.49 at Ulta!
  • Rimmel Stay Glossy Lip gloss in Non Stop Glamour- A wonderful gloss that is not sticky and can basically top any lip stick and give it a bit of something else!
  • Loreal Paris Project Runway Lipstick in Sultry Ravens Pout- My all time favorite drug store lipstick. It is a beautiful nudey pink shade. I hope Loreal brings it back because I will out of it in no time.

There are my favorites for the month they are all amazing products and worth every penny. Also, I am beyond excited because I started my Youtube channel! I had that as one of my goal on my weight loss list! I reward myself when I hit goals=D Way to keep motivated right?! So I will add my very first one for your guys enjoyment! I hope you all enjoy it and Thank you for all your support weather that is with my blog, luuux, IG, Twitter, Pinterest, Beautylish and now YouTube! I truly love being part of the beauty community!
