Collection: B.B. Creams!

I will say B.B. Creams are some of my favorite bases to wear. I use them quite frequently. The majority of the time I may even choose to wear these instead of a Foundation or Tinted Moisturizer. I especially love them when my skin is having a "moment" lol. I wanted to make this post after strictly using Asian Based B.B. Creams. Then I tried some of the Western B.B. Creams and figured it was a good time to give you guys my thoughts on the two.

Swatches:

First set (L-R) Loreal Paris B.B. Cream, Missha Perfect Cover B.B. Cream No.23, Dr. Jart Water Fuse Beauty Balm, Skin79 Triple Functions B.B. Cream.

Second Set (L-R): Skin79 VIP Gold Collection B.B. Cream, Skin79 Diamond Collection B.B. Cream, Missha Signature Real Complete B.B. Cream No.21

Collection: B.B. Creams:

*Skin79 Triple Functions B.B. Cream: Skin 79 makes one of the best B.B. Creams I have ever tried. It has such great coverage. I honestly swear by B.B. Creams when my skin is breaking out. It literally helps heal my skin! I also love the Whitening factor. It has made my skin more even. This one is supposed to be made for Oily skin. But, I have dry skin and it works beautifully on my skin.

*Lioele Triple the Solutions: It is not pictured here because I have none left but this is my all time favorite B.B. Cream. Just because the shade is perfect for my skin and I rarely wear concealer with it.

*Missha Perfect Cover B.B. Cream No.23: I just love this B.B. Cream not only because of the finish & coverage. But, also because the shade match is dead on for my skin tone!

*Skin79 VIP Gold Collection B.B. Cream: Now this one is for dry skin and works nicely but I still prefer the (hot pink) triple functions B.B. Cream to this one. Still has great coverage.

*Missha Signature Real Complete B.B. Cream No.21: Now currently I am to dark for this one (Shade 23) but this will be perfect for Winter!! Again I love Missha B.B. Creams (Thanks to Gloria!)

*Skin79 The Diamond Collection: This was my least favorite out of the Skin79 line. It was mainly just the finish and shade. It was a bit to matte for my liking and was way to light for my skin tone.

*Dr. Jart Water Fuse Beauty Balm: Now I will just get this out of the way Western B.B. creams are nothing like the Asian brand B.B. Creams they are really glorified Tinted Moisturizers. In my opinion Asian B.B. Creams are less then a foundation (depending on your complexion and skin issues) and way better then a Tinted moisturizer. This one for the price tag is nothing! It is less then a tinted moisturizer in my opinion. Totally not worth the price tag. You can even see how sheer it is in my swatches as it sits next to a Skin79 B.B. Cream. I had 2 deluxe sample from Birchbox and simply depotted them to try out.

*L'Oreal Paris Magic Skin Beautifier (Beautifying Beads) B.B. Cream in Light: Now I will say I do like this one. But it does remind me more of a self adjusting LIGHT foundation instead of a actual B.B. Cream. You will need concealer if you have any discoloration, blemishes, etc. It is Okay, but won't be replacing any of my actual B.B. Creams.

I will say hands down Asian brands are the masters when it comes to B.B. Creams. They have it down to a science. If you guys don't know where to get them. Try PrettyandCute.com that is wear I get the majority of mine. They also always have amazing coupons and sales (the Skin79 triple functions is currently on sale) shipping is super fast and they even sell deluxe sample kits so you can find your favorite.

Have you ever tried B.B. Creams?
If so which are your favorite?

  1. Hi Steph! You know, I've actually never used a BB cream, but I really want to! That's a nice collection you have. Very informative post. I also have dry skin. I might look into the Skin79Triple Functions BB cream that you like to much :)

    Thanks for sharing!

  2. I am in major love with the hot pink skin79, that is one gorgeous bb cream and I'm sure it will look great when I'm "whiter", I think I'll have to try a more tinted Missha one for summer though. excited for winter and bb creams LOL
